CEZ Group's main activities include the production and distribution of electricity and heat, electricity and heat trading, and coal mining.

The shares of the parent company, ČEZ, are publicly listed on both the Prague and Warsaw Stock Exchanges, and as such, constitute a significant component of the stock market indices. As of December 31, 2010, the State Treasury of the Czech Republic held the majority stake in the company, with a shareholding of almost 70% of the share capital.

For over 20 years, they have been providing bookkeeping, tax consultancy, legal services, financial analysis, human resources and payroll and other accounting-related services. Their specialisation also includes bookkeeping for foundations, associations and other organisations.

CEZ Group utilized a combination of Excel spreadsheets and emails for their operational processes, but this approach failed to keep up with the company's changing requirements.
